Large spreadsheet handling and Android improvements

A few small but mighty improvements to GlideOS in today's release include:

Android apps look more polished on the home screen

Apps installed to an Android device's home screen now blend the status bar with the app canvas. The mobile preview in the builder also now shows a realistic phone shape. Also, opening the keyboard on Android was causing bottom sheet panels in deployed apps to jump unexpectedly. That movement is now fixed and gone.

Buying extra credits now generates a proper invoice

Credit top-ups now produce a full invoice showing your name, billing address, tax IDs, and organization name. And the invoice appears in the customer portal's history. Previously, buyers only received a bare charge receipt with no customer details.

Large spreadsheets now work (and tell you when they're too large)

Spreadsheet workbooks under 100 MB can now be read, searched, and imported where they used to crash or time out. Workbooks beyond the new ceiling give a clear "too large" message instead of failing unpredictably.

Connect your own AI client with the Glide MCP server

GlideOS now connects to Model Context Protocol (MCP) clients, including Claude and Cursor. Once connected, the client signs into GlideOS as you and works with your projects the same way GlideOS does, with the same access your account already has.

Connecting a client changes where the AI work happens.

When you drive GlideOS from Claude or Cursor, the agent's reasoning runs on your own plan with that provider, and any tokens used are managed directly with them. Glide credits still apply to the work GlideOS runs itself, including Runtime AI in your apps, workflows, and integrations. But when using the MCP, Glide Credits will not be used to build.

To connect, click your organization's name in the sidebar, then click MCP Server to get your server URL. Each connection belongs to one organization. If you leave that organization, the connection stops working for the rest of your team too.

Before approving a connection, review the permissions your client is requesting. Unexpected credit usage through MCP isn't refundable.

Full setup steps for Claude and Cursor are in the docs.

Mobile improvements, sign-in fixes, and more

Today's release includes a number of fixes that will improve the overall experience of using GlideOS.

Microsoft sign-in works without getting stuck

Signing in with a Microsoft account no longer lands you on a frozen "Magic Link Sent" screen after you pick your account. This fix also applies to signing into apps built on Glide, not just the Glide dashboard itself.

The mobile sign-in screen zoom issue

On iPhone, tapping the email input used to trigger iOS Safari's automatic zoom, which made the sign-in screen awkward to use. The text is now the right size to prevent that zoom, and the whole sign-in screen received a small visual polish pass at the same time.

The builder no longer crashes on mobile

A bug was causing the builder to crash for roughly 1 in 4 mobile sessions. The screen would go blank, or the page would reload itself. This has been fixed, and the builder now runs more reliably on phones and tablets.

"Help me get started" button improved

When Glide looks up your company's website to personalize the getting-started suggestions, it now tries adding "www." to the domain if the first attempt doesn't find anything — so more users get relevant suggestions right away.

Pull brand colors from your company website

You can now paste a company website URL or reference your email address in the chat to have GlideOS automatically pull your company's brand colours from your domain, and apply them to your build. This improvement will ensure your apps look on-brand from the start.

Change your org icon from settings

A couple of quick updates today: The apps page now loads faster and shows only your published apps, so you can find what you need without the clutter.

Also, Organization admins can now update the organization icon right from Settings.

Many quality of life fixes and improvements in GlideOS

Today's release notes are full of valuable improvements and bug fixes that enhance your experience in GlideOS. Here's a look at everything that shipped:

Improvement: Open the builder from chat.

Opening the builder from a chat now drops you straight into that chat's app, so you're always in the right place instantly.

Fix: Agent correctly announces completion.

The GlideOS agent now waits for real confirmation that your app's preview launched without errors before telling you it's done. No more "your app is ready" messages that arrive ahead of the app itself.

Improvement: Workflow creation guidance

When you click to create a new Workflow from within a Project, the guidance text tells you that workflows run on a schedule or a trigger. It no longer shows the generic app-building prompt that was there before.

Fix: Integrations retry rather than fail

When a connected Integration service briefly hits its request limit, integration actions now wait and retry automatically instead of failing. Your users see a slight delay rather than an error.

Improvement: Workflow limit reached

When your plan's workflow limit is reached, GlideOS now lists the specific workflows occupying those slots and links directly to each one, even if they're in a different project. Previously, you'd see a message to disable another workflow with no indication of where to find one.

Introducing Integrations: Connect Glide to 1,000+ tools

Your GlideOS apps can now connect directly to the tools your business already runs on — over 1,000 tools to be precise.

Tell Glide what you need in plain language, like pulling customer records from Salesforce or sending a Slack message when a row updates. Glide matches the request to the right service and builds the connection into your app.

Connect to integrations in two ways

From the project screen: select the plus sign next to Integrations, search for the service you need, and choose Connect.

From chat: describe the task, and if your project doesn't have that connection yet, GlideOS posts a card offering to set it up.

Every integration you connect shows up in the Integrations section of that project, marked Connected. Open it to refresh the connection or remove it.

Workflows & Integrations: A power-couple

These two features are strong on their own, but when paired together they are a force to be reckoned with. Workflows can now start from an integration event, or include integrations as part of workflow steps. Just chat with GlideOS to create workflows that use Integrations, or trigger off of them. It will walk you through the setup.

Introducing Workflows: describe the automation, Glide builds it

Now you can ask GlideOS to build automations that make your apps run autonomously. Describe the process you want handled, and GlideOS turns it into a workflow that lives in your Project folder as an accessible artifact.

Once you've built a workflow, you can simply prompt to make any changes to it.

Four ways to start a workflow:

A single workflow can support multiple triggers, each with its own on/off toggle, so you can turn one trigger off without affecting the rest.

A screen for every workflow, and a full record of every run

Every workflow gets a screen in your project, which, when opened, lists each step in order with a plain sentence explaining what it does. You can also inspect your workflow runs, so you can see exactly what happened when a run doesn't go the way you expected.

Ask GlideOS to build a workflow automation for your apps today.

Dashboard sign-in loop resolved

A bug that prevented some users with older session tokens from loading the dashboard is fixed. If you saw an error on every page yesterday afternoon, the issue has been resolved, and your access has been restored.

AI action labels in chat

Every action the GlideOS agent takes in chat now shows a plain, readable label describing what it did. Previously, only some actions, like reading a file or calling a tool, had labels; now all of them do, so nothing the AI does goes unexplained.

Spreadsheet and secret key improvements

A couple of quality of life improvements in today's update. The GlideOS agent will no longer change calendar dates in spreadsheets, so your data stays exactly as you entered it. We've also fixed a bug that would cause your secret credentials to get overridden with autofill, so your credentials are guaranteed to remain accurate.

Authenticated app links are here

We've just shipped authenticated app links. What this means in plain English is that your users can open a shared app link and land directly inside the software, without any extra sign-in steps required. This update makes accessing your GlideOS apps even more seamless.
